HS Elective - Photography

Photography is a new Highschool Elective course offered to Grade 9, 10 and non-IB 11 & 12 students. They will learn how to make the best out of the camera available to them in order to get good photos right from the start. The course program links to the Desktop/Publishing class (but it is not required to take both) where the students can learn how to postprocess and further enhance their photos. As part of the practical aspect of this class, the students will cover different school events, and their photos will be used for publishing on AISZ website, newsletters, etc. The topics covered are (but not limited to):

• get to know your camera
• composition, lighting, color, patterns
• setting, subject, approach
• tips & tricks
• practical projects
• exhibition
