HS Spanish 1

This course is intended for students who will either be continuing Spanish language in another school or students who plan to take IB DP Spanish (Ab initio or B) during their junior and senior years of high school. The linguistic skills targeted are reading, writing, speaking and listening. In this introductory course, students will learn elementary vocabulary and grammar and will perform basic language acts such as greetings and describing themselves and their families. These aims are carried out using a variety of relevant topic areas and resources. All lessons will be conducted in the target language as much as possible.
