The main goal of the world languages program is to help students develop the ability to communicate with speakers of another language and to develop intercultural understanding. To achieve this goal, students need to use the language in a variety of real life, meaningful and culturally accurate situations designed to promote relevant communication.  The French MS program follows a spiral/sequential curriculum which leads to the development of communicative proficiency in French. This course is for students with prior experience in the target language. Linguistic and cultural contents follow the recommendations of the European common Framework of Reference Level A2. The program lays a foundation for further, more rigorous, language study in the upcoming grades.  Classes meet 2 or 3 times per week, 90 minutes per class.
