Post three poems on your blog. These should be "polished" poems, as they are being "published" on the web. You may use your metaphor poem, your skeltonic, your caged bird poem, your "childhood is" poem, or another poem I haven't seen.

In 4-5 paragraphs, write a mini-essay explaining why one of the poems you explored in today's class is considered "great." The organization of your essay will most effectively follow a pattern similar to:
Par. 1: Introduction (summary of your poem, thoughts on "greatness," etc. You decide.)
Par. 2: One element that makes your poem great, example, explanation.
Par. 3: "
Par. 4: "
Par. 5: A conclusion including your personal opinion.
This assignment will be posted to your blog.

Bring in one famous poem to work into a parody during class. You can find many, many poems on poetryfoundation.org or poets.org. Songs are okay as long as they have enough STYLISTIC elements to draw from.
